Fujitsu-Siemens: Reuniting the biosphere

(Oil on canvas plus mixed media, 1.3m X 1.5m, 2007)

Two themes about Fujitsu-Siemens’ partnership with Intel: the product (user-friendly notebooks with mobility and connectivity) and the production (sensitivity to the natural environment).

The star in this painting is Tandy, my good friend's beautiful cat (also a collector of my fish paintings!). She is in communication with her fish friends deep underneath the ocean, made possible by Fujitsu-Siemens notebooks which give real-time connectivity between different parts of our world. Through such contacts, animosity disappears, harmony is reinstated and antipodes get reunited.

The tropical water background symbolizes the richness of life forms in our biosphere and Fujitsu-Siemens’ devotion to less polluting and wasteful PC production ---  witnessed by being the first manufacturer awarded the “Blue Angel” labeling and their partnership with environmental groups such as the WWF.

The painting was mostly done by oil paints on canvas, with the notebook part made by transferring digital images, in order to accentuate the high resolution feature of the screen.

This work is a celebration of life for all denizens in our biosphere, where Fujitsu-Siemens notebooks are warmly welcomed as partners.
