These double figures represent the same subject from two different time periods

The figure was painted in the image of someone very close to me.

On that day four years ago, when he was diagnosed having cancer, he went to a field to fly a kite. We were both watching the kite soaring higher and higher until it vanished into the sky.

After numerous medical treatments, there was remission, until cancer recurrence was discovered early this year.

Upon hearing this, he immediately went out and looked up into the sky in search of the missing kite from four years ago. One can tell from his face the ailment. But there is another side: his strong will to survive. This is illustrated by the strong brush strokes applied to the clothes area.

What he soon realizes is that it is Time that flies, not the kite, while he is still on the same solid ground --- the same solid ground that again permits him to stay on the Earth.
